Your ERP tracks items, orders, karigars and gold weight. It doesn't tell the caster what temperature this bangle needs, or warn the polisher not to machine-polish across a kundan stone. That knowledge sits in a notebook, or with one supervisor.
When it's missing, pieces come back for rework. When metal goes missing, nobody can say which stage lost it. XAU Design is the layer between the order and the bench.

Write the design
Karat, colour, gross and net weight, allowed wastage, sizes, a table of stones and specs such as hinge type or wall thickness.

Add a sheet per department
Tooling, temperatures, duration, tolerances, a safety note, a QC checkpoint and an ordered checklist.

Release the order
Each order line becomes job cards carrying the design's route. A department with no sheet is skipped.

Work the queue
Each department sees only its jobs and its sheet, ticks the checklist and records weight in, out and scrap.

Sign off
The next department unlocks, and every step is logged with who did it and when.

Stages unlock in order
A department can't start a job until every earlier stage has been signed off.
Critical steps block sign-off
A stage can't be signed off while any checklist step flagged as critical is still unticked.
Loss traced to the stage
Weight in, weight out and scrap are recorded at every stage and loss % is calculated, so missing gold shows up where it went missing.
Reject with a reason
A supervisor can send a job back with a reason, which the previous department sees.
Versioned designs
Publishing a design saves a versioned snapshot, so every job card traces back to exactly what the floor was told.
Complete activity log
Every start, sign-off, rejection and reopen is recorded with who did it and when.

Department tools & settings
Each department lists its tools and the settings each one needs, such as Matt or High Polish, or a rhodium colour from a fixed list. Designs get the right fields and dropdowns instead of a blank text box.
Four clear roles
Admins write designs and instructions, planners release orders, supervisors run a department and sign off stages, and operators see only their own department.
Public lookup portal
Anyone can look up a design number and read its instructions without logging in, filtered by department and ready to print. Any design can require a PIN or be hidden.

Waiting, active and finished work for every department, plus open orders and jobs on the floor.
Read API & signed webhooks
An API-key-secured read API for kiosks and ERP screens, and signed webhooks when jobs are created, stages start, complete or are rejected, and jobs or orders complete.

XAU Design works fully on its own. Connect it to Gold ERP on ERPNext and the ERP stays the main system for items, sales orders, karigars and the metal ledger, so gold is never counted twice.
- From the ERP: karigars become departments, items become draft designs and sales orders become orders
- Back to the ERP (optional, off by default): starting a stage drafts a Metal Issue, and signing off drafts a Metal Receipt chained to the next karigar
